Pamela, daughter of Lord and Lady Mountbatten

Pamela, daughter of Lord and Lady Mountbatten, tells in her book that when Edwina died in 1960, Nehru's love letters were kept next to her.

Edwina had made all such letters in her will to her husband.  It is said that there was a whole suitcase full of such letters.  For many years, Lord Mountbatten had left those letters like this.  Then one day he dared to ask Pamela if she could read these letters for him?

Then for the next several days, both of them kept reading those letters.  There was nothing in those letters to offend Lord Mountbatten.  Yes!  It was definitely mentioned in them that both of them are very special to each other.  But in those letters there were talks about the making and future of India.  From these letters one could prepare the outline of Indian history.

We should save their story for some very kind future.  🌻
